Alice has always love that song. Half of it is because it's about rainbows and the other half it's about, well, wonders. Alice have often imagined there's another way to reach Wonderland, other than falling to a hole. She dreamed of ascending a stair case made of rainbows, little blue birds accompanying her as she get higher. The clouds around her will be fluffy like cotton candies and smells like one too. 

Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
And the dreams that you dreamed of
Dreams really do come true ooh oh</i>

Sometimes Alice dreamed of sprouting pretty blue wings on her back. Then she will fly over London, circling the Big Ben just like Peter Pan. She will wave to the passing aircrafts, witches zooming on their brooms, and occasionally there's dragons as well. A silly dream, one would say but Alice don't care. Dreams are one of the things that make your life colourful.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me

If stars are glowing lemon drops, Alice would be more than happy to eat them on her way. Not to mention gathers said 'stars' and fly back home to share them with her family. When life gives you lemon, make lemon drops.

Oh why, oh why can't I?


Her dreams are full of colours, magic and just plain fun. And the crazy thing is, they do happen. When Alice received her Hogwarts letter, it felt surreal yet so real. The letter in her hands almost like an invitation to visit Wonderland. She is finally able to go to Wonderland. 


Well I see trees of green and red roses too,
I'll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world</i>

Diagon Alley is something that seems to come out from fantasy books... Yet it is not. Wizards and witches in robes, colourful vials in the potion shops, goblins counting gold coins, ice creams with crazy flavours... Oh oh it is so wonderful. Wonderful wonderful Diagon Alley.

Ollivander is a very old wizard, and a very kind one. He chuckles when she bombarded him with questions and patiently answers each of them. Alice can't help but keep giggling as she stare at the floating tape as he is taking her measurements. Does breathing affects magic? Alice can't help but wonder when he measures her nostrils.\

Well I see skies of blue
And I see clouds of white
And the brightness of day
I like the dark
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

After a few tries of swishing various wands, Ollivander handed her a pretty wand with carvings of leaves on them. The moment she swish it, rainbows shoot out from the tip, along with a couple of blue birds (they instantly flying out to the windows) and pretty little balls of lights. "That's the one" The wizard told her. This is it. Her wand. Her new brush for the magical canvas known as the wizardy world.

And the dream that you dare to, why, oh why can't I?

The first time Alice held her wand, she knows that dreams do come true, no matter what they are. Because her magical journey just started.

FINALLY DONE

I am brainstorming for ideas for the assignment when I listen to Pink's Somewhere Over The Rainbow... And BOOM! You got this!

Alice will certainly love the song, since there's rainbow in it after all. Classics are the best. And I just can't help it with the lemon drops. It reminds me of Dumbledore. If he still lives, Alice would certainly consider him her favourite wizard. I just can picture them talking, enjoying lemon drops, playing with colours (Dumbledore does have a fun sense of colours, look at his robes) 

I think I just broke my heart imagining that scene with Dumbledore
